Cant believe what I just seen,

the sky started falling and aint nobody even scream,

clouds hittin the pavement, earth cracking at the seams,

seems rather odd that aint nobody make a scene,

blinking my eyes, thinking ‘this probably a dream’,

though to my surprise this shit was actual,

but on the flipside it reminded me of visions i had when I was 16,

when i was sneaking out the house tryna be up on the scene,

I jus want my little mark to make impressions in the long haul,

one small step for mankind so to speak,

because, even the mighty swords have tiny points,

and, great mountains have peaks,

so I play my position like pawns waiting in the wing,

but don’t be surprised if they start snatching up your queens,

just a drop in the pond, have bigger ripple effects,

guess I’m just splittin the atoms

this shit is bigger than it seems.

this is a verse i wrote for a song called “…and the crowd goes wild” off my upcoming xtra small project. i normally dont do shit like this, but i was particularly proud of this verse so i wanted to share. to me, it sorta sums up one of the main themes i had for xtra small; even though our position in space and time may seem insignificant in the seemingly infinite universe, i feel we should always try to make lasting impressions on it. 

i’m pretty excited to let people hear this project soon. it has a really good energy surrounding it, cant wait to pass that on.
